Code of Ethics
It is essential to have the endorsement of the Commit-
tee on Publication Ethics (COPE) which has allowed us to
improve ethical practices of publications that has been con-
ducted in different research fields [4, 3], such for editors [5],
authors [2] and readers [1].
Editors
General responsibilities of Editors:
•
Improve continuously the Journal.
•
Ensure the quality of the articles published.
•
Take care for the integrity of their academic experien-
ce.
•
Publish corrections, clarifications, retractions and
apologies if it is necessary.
•
Protect the intellectual property and copyright.
•
Maintain the editorial independence.
Responsibilities of Editors face to Readers:
•
Provide a product that considers international stan-
dards used by the most prestigious scientific journals.
•
Ensure that the published material was submitted for
review and approval.
Responsibilities of Editors face to Authors:
•
Be agree on the quality of material published.
•
Accept or reject an article for publication, based on
their importance, originality, clarity, and relevance
for the Journal.
•
Inform about the review process of their papers by
their pairs.
•
Be ready to justify the processes of review, a report
should be provided by request for the author.
•
Keep updated the publishing norms of papers.
•
Accomplish the decision of acceptance or rejection of
an article for publication.
•
New editors should not overturn decisions about pu-
blishing documents submitted by the previous edi-
tor, with exceptions (when they are going against the
institutional and/or the journal image).
Responsibilities of Editors face to Reviewers
•
Publish and maintain the norms for reviewing the pa-
pers.
•
Maintain constant communication with the revie-
wers.
Pair review process:
•
Ensure that material submitted for reviewing is con-
fidential during the period of revision.
Authors
General responsibilities of the Authors:
•
Define the article structure which should fill: the
scientific method, grammatical rules and norm for
publishing the papers.
•
Submit sufficient references from public sources.
Responsibilities of Authors face to Readers:
•
Assume the public responsibility for the contents.
•
Provide to interested readers copies of data, procedu-
re manual or experimental material.
Responsibilities of Authors face to Editors:
•
Support the content of the article (data, methodology,
conclusions).
•
Maintain constant communication with the editor in
chief in order to improve corrections and revisions.
Readers
General responsibilities of Readers:
•
Make references of the bibliography used in the arti-
cle.
•
Participate in the development and progress of the
Journal, in this way, it is souhaitable that they send
suggestions about the published articles.
Responsibilities of Readers face to Editors:
•
Make public their discrepancies through letters to the
editor.
•
Point out errors specifying the article and the author.
Responsibilities of Readers face to Authors:
